Anthems 19 is wall to wall bassline house classics from 2004.  Tracks like my own Production Move On (released on nocturnal records) feature alongside all time bassline wobblers such as Back Up (here it comes), Pony, Dance Until U Drop, Double drop and Womans Worth.  This is the best of the Reflective, Nocturnal, Ecko, Studiobeatz and Jump Era ..when vinyl still ruled and you spent your weekends picking up up new tracks and promos at your local record shop.

A personal favourite mix of mine this one ..particularly track number 1 ..now thats what I call real house music.  This was number 3 in the housestompin series recorded back in 2005..  The housestompin mixes bring together the best in uplifting banging funky vocal house with a touch of electro.  80mins long this covers many of my favourite producers.   If you liked clubbing back then at places such as Federation, stinkys and hed kandi this should be right up your street (musically)

DJ Richard - Anthems Vol1 - Oldskool House and Speed Garage 90min Mix - 2000



 
 
 

Recorded back in 2000 on two sides of a C-90 (thats a 90min cassette tape for all you youngsters)  Originally recorded to give out to club promoters in the days when you had to hand in a mixtape.  This covers many of the biggest tunes from the sheffield speed garage and oldskool house scene from 1998-2000.  Recorded live using real vinyl :)

This mix was originally put together to advertise a speed garage night in Rotherham I was playing at in 2003.  The night was called BassBox at a dark underground club called the Turf Tavern.  This mix is wall to wall big bassline oldskool speed garage tunes.  Funnily enough there was no way to record in the club so this had to mixed live at home on a pair of 1210's into a CD recorder.

Volume 2 in the series from 2002 which at the time was only available from Reflex Records in Sheffield.  Mixed live into a CD recorder and featuring 80 minutes of massive bassline oldskool speed garage. Only the biggest warpers from the days of vinyl, snipers and white labels ! This one featues some seriously dark and dirty oldskool basslines from the golden era of speed garage 1997-1999.

This anthems mix shows the darker more garagey sound that crept into the Bassline clubs in Sheffield 2004.  Featuring tunes like I Wanna be Down, Kickin in the beats (bassline mix) and London Uk Garage producers like Delinquent ,Mask and Riplash&Sus who were starting to make big inroads into northern playlists.  This was the sheffield scenes answer to the "ice cream" organs from birmingham:)
